Guide for using Blocklist Manager
To start with you can download Blocklist manager from the Bluetack website
- First thing you do when you open Blocklist Manager is to click the Sources button. This will update the list of sources in the options.
- When it's done, go into the options and review the list of sources and enable the ones you want to use
(A detailed description of what each one is can be found on the bluetack website but for general use or for p2p blocking, the level1 list should be sufficient).
- Exit out of the options and hit the Process button and Blocklist Manager will download the list of IP's to block from the sources you selected in the previous step. This may take a couple of minutes as the lists can be quite large and it will also merge the lists etc.
- Now that you have a complete list of IP's to block you can export it for use in other programs.
c:\program files\azureus\plugins\safepeer\safepeer.blocklist.cache is the default location for the azureus plugin which is what I used for the rest of the guide.
- For version 2.6.5 do the following:
- Go into Options and then App Locations.
- In here, checkmark Enable Safepeer Integration and put in the path to where you want to save the file.
- Go down to the Selected Filters option and check mark SafePeer
- For Version 2.7.7 do the following:
- Go into Options and then Personal Sources.
- Click on the Edit Exports button.
- In the name field enter in Azureus
- Select Safepeer from the Format drop down box
- In the Location field enter in the path to where you want to save the file.
- Tick the checkbox labeled Export Location Active and then click Add.
- Close the options and then hit F12 to export the list of IP's to the file you have configured.
Return to the guide and follow the rest of the steps
